Volunteers are always needed to ensure the future of the THA.  Please use the “Contact Us” page to let us know if you are able to help or would like more details in any of the following areas  –

Publicity: Someone to assist with publicising the THA and our events, including management of our social media accounts.

Shed Helper: More helpers are always needed on Sundays. The more we have, the more infrequent is our call on your time. You may either assist in the shed, or take the money, the choice is yours.  It is a good way to get to know other members. 

Summer Show 2023 Various roles including:
Friday 4th August 5:30-6:30pm 10 people Collection of things from the shed, set up tables, hall and show office.
Saturday 5th August
10 people 7:30 -8:30 am to set up marquee and outside areas before staging starts
Photographer 8:30-11 am and 2-5pm
Scribe 1-2pm Writing Certificates
Door Steward AM 8.15-11am Give out entry cards
Door Steward PM 2-5pm Meet and Greet, give out purple tokens
2 Staging stewards 8.15-11am
2 Morning Hall Stewards 8.15-11am
2 Afternoon Hall Stewards 2-5pm
10 Judges Stewards 11am-2pm
4 Refreshment Helpers 2-5pm
10 people 5-6.30pm End of day clear up helpers, ideally in addition to people who have already been helping at the show all day.

Committee Member: There are 6 meetings a year, held in the Village Hall Meeting Room. Election is usually taken at the AGM, but the Secretary or Chairman would be pleased to be advised of your interest, and you may join at any time ratification taking place later. Perhaps before making the commitment you would like to attend one of the meetings, to get the feel. If you are specifically interested in finding out about any one of the committee posts, then join the committee and a period of being deputy can be arranged, so that you know what is involved.

Plant Stalls:  A couple of times a year at local fetes, and at the Annual Show, we have a plant stall, in order to raise money to support the Association.  Your help is appreciated in supplying plants for us to sell, or by helping to man the stall for a couple of hours.  Details are published on our Events page and in newsletters prior to the event. 4
